These Terms govern your use of the KitDone app and your relationship with its developer, as identified on the app's official store listing. By using the app, you agree to these Terms and its Privacy Policy, while retaining any rights granted by applicable law that cannot be waived.
1 Using the app
KitDone helps you organize and prepare your photography gear before jobs and check it when you return. You can use it for personal and professional work. You remain in control of your lists and the confirmations you make in the field.
The app is intended for users aged 13 and over. If you are a minor under the law that applies to you, you must obtain your parent or guardian's consent to use the app and make purchases to the extent required by that law and the store's rules.
2 Free trial
The trial lets you complete five jobs free of charge, with no time limit. Each job is counted once, after you complete the Return Check and select "Save & Close". Creating or editing a job, or saving your progress before completing it, does not use one of your free jobs.
Once you have used the five free jobs, continued unlimited use requires purchase of the Full Access upgrade.
3 Lifetime access and purchase restoration
The Full Access upgrade, known as Lifetime Full Access, gives you access to the app features included in the purchase, with no limit on the number of jobs, for a single payment and without a recurring subscription. The purchase includes app updates we release as part of this upgrade. Your access does not expire simply because the version number changes.
Your purchase is linked to your account in the store where you made it. It can be restored through the same store using the account associated with the purchase, subject to the store's terms and the available restoration process. A purchase through Google Play does not automatically grant an upgrade through the App Store, or vice versa.
Restoring a purchase reinstates your paid access. Restoring your gear lists and jobs depends on the data stored on your device and any available backups, as determined by your system settings.
4 Payments and refunds
The store shows the price and payment terms before you confirm a purchase and handles the transaction. Refund requests are subject to the store's policies and your statutory rights. You can submit a request through the store's channels or contact us for assistance within the scope allowed by the store. Apple handles refund requests for App Store purchases under its policies. Google Play also allows the developer to process certain requests using its official tools.
5 Checking your gear and managing your data
The app's preparation and return statuses reflect the information and confirmations you enter. When you confirm that an item has been prepared or returned, the app records that confirmation. You remain responsible for checking in person that the item is present and in good condition. The lists help you organize these checks, and their usefulness depends on accurate entries and checking your gear in the field.
You retain your rights in the content you create and are responsible for its accuracy and for keeping it up to date. Because your organizational data is stored locally, device damage, erasure or an unsuccessful backup restore may affect it. Review the data storage and backup settings available on your device before taking any action that could result in data loss.
6 Gear catalog
The catalog is a curated list designed to make adding gear easier. Names may vary, and some models may take time to be added. Check the model you select, and use Manual Entry for any gear you need to add. The catalog serves as a reference for identifying and organizing gear. Refer to the manufacturer for the product's technical specifications and information about its suitability for your work.
Company names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and appear in the catalog solely to identify gear. Their inclusion does not indicate any partnership with, sponsorship by or endorsement of the app by those companies.
7 License and permitted use
The developer grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive license to use the app in accordance with these Terms and the store's rules. This license covers use of the app. Reselling the app, distributing copies or using its original elements in another product requires permission from the relevant rights holder, subject to any permissions provided by law or by the licenses of open source components.
Use of the app is subject to its trial and purchase rules. The license does not permit deliberately bypassing trial counting or purchase verification to obtain paid access without a valid purchase. This restriction does not apply to legitimately restoring a previous purchase or to uses permitted by the store's rules.
On iOS devices, the app is licensed under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement as applied through the App Store. These Terms are interpreted consistently with that agreement.
8 Intellectual property
KitDone's developer retains the rights to the app's name, logo, interfaces, original software elements and catalog structure, subject to the rights of third-party component owners. Fonts, icons and open source libraries remain governed by their own licenses, as listed on the app's Open Source Licenses screen.
9 Suggestions for improvement
We welcome ideas and suggestions for improving KitDone and review them based on how well they fit the app and its development priorities. By submitting a suggestion, you give the developer non-exclusive permission to use, develop and incorporate it into the app without payment for that use. You retain the right to use and share your idea.
Suggestions may be similar to one another or overlap with work already in development. Submitting a suggestion therefore does not create an obligation to implement it, make a payment or enter into a partnership. It also does not give the person submitting it an exclusive right to the resulting feature. If the parties later agree to collaborate or arrange payment, the terms of that written agreement will govern.
10 Updates and limits of liability
We work to improve the app and address reported issues according to their impact and our development priorities. Updates become available when we release them. The app's operation and compatibility are affected by the condition of your device, its operating system and the store's requirements. Your purchase does not include a commitment to a fixed update schedule or a guarantee of compatibility with every future device or operating system.
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for loss of or damage to gear arising from conditions in the field or from errors in data entry or confirmations. The developer is also not liable for data loss caused by device damage or erasure, or by backup or restoration failures. The developer's liability does not extend to indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the app, such as lost profits or business opportunities.
Please download KitDone from Google Play, the App Store, or another channel authorized by the developer. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for malfunctions, data loss, or damage caused by unauthorized modifications to or tampering with the app, or by obtaining it from a source not authorized by the developer. This provision does not affect any rights you have that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
These limits are applied in light of the cause of the harm and the rights provided by law. Nothing in these limits excludes or restricts any liability or compensation where doing so is not permitted by law. If you have difficulty using the app, you can contact us so we can look into it and provide the assistance available.
11 Changes to these Terms and contact
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the app, store requirements or applicable law. We publish the updated version on the official Terms page with its revision date. We explain material changes before they take effect and provide notice or request consent where required by law. The rights included in your lifetime purchase remain protected within the scope that applied at the time of purchase.
If a provision cannot be enforced under applicable law, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. For any questions about the app or these Terms, you can contact KitDone's developer at [email protected].
